For some reason, this article is really cracking me up (you won't be able to read it a day from now, I'll get excerpts later). But suffice to say, this one quote says it all:

Wendy Davis of MediaPost describes the presentation as a “a culture clash of near-epic proportions.” She recounts how UBS analyst Ben Schachter wanted to know how Craigslist plans to maximize revenue. It doesn’t, Mr. Buckmaster replied

I'm actually, quite literally, cracking up. And this coming from a business major. Oh god.

(And on a more serious note, give the article - or at least the parts I quoted - a little thought. And then consider the consistently growing trend of privatization of government services. You might just become a tad bit scared.)

The funny thing about cryptic blog posts like the one I just made is that they seemingly defeat the very purpose of blogging. For instance, there really isn't anyone who has any idea what I was talking about with my last one liner. Besides myself of course. I mean, you could sure as hell spend a good amount of time thinking about it and you'd still be nowhere close to actually figuring out what the hell I'm talking about. Given the fairly public nature of blogging - and the fact that there are still people besides myself who actually do at times go to echelonv.blogspot.com - it begs the question as to why I posted in the first place.

Well go figure, I'm not telling.
